Weight Loss With a Side of Grace I Food Freedom, Perimenopause Weight Gain, Busy Moms
Hi, I’m Michelle, health and fitness coach by day, chauffeur and snack dealer to my three kids by night.
If you’re a woman over 35 wondering why your body suddenly feels different, you’re not alone.
Maybe you know how to lose weight, but nothing seems to work anymore. You “eat good” all day, then lose it at night. You crave sweets constantly, feel exhausted, gain weight around your midsection, and wonder why the same things that worked in your 20s and 30s suddenly stopped working.
You start over every Monday, live by food rules, and let the scale decide your mood. You avoid photos, wear the same “good enough” outfit, and feel frustrated because you’re trying so hard but still don’t feel at home in your body.
If that’s you, I see you.
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. And you do not need another extreme diet.
You’re navigating real life, real stress, changing hormones, busy schedules, aging parents, growing kids, and a body that needs a different kind of support now.
I know what it’s like to chase “perfect” eating and still feel out of control around food. For years I thought healthy eating had to feel restrictive and miserable. But what finally changed things wasn’t more discipline. It was letting go of food guilt, building realistic habits, learning how to fuel my body, and realizing you can eat the salad and the whoopie pie and still be healthy.
Here you’ll learn how to:
✨lose weight during perimenopause without obsession
✨stop nighttime overeating
✨feel in control around sweets
✨build strength and support your metabolism as you age
✨create simple eating habits that work in real mom life
✨ditch all-or-nothing thinking for good
We’ll talk:
- perimenopause weight gain
- strength training for women 35+
- emotional eating
- food freedom
- realistic nutrition
- body confidence
- healthy habits for busy moms
- sustainable weight loss that actually lasts
Because this season of life isn’t about becoming smaller at all costs.
It’s about becoming stronger, healthier, more confident, and finally feeling peaceful around food and your body.

Do you eat “good” all day, only to feel out of control around food at night?
Maybe you keep breakfast small, eat a light lunch, and save your calories for dinner, then find yourself standing in the pantry after dinner looking for something else to eat.
In this episode, we’re talking about why eating too little during the day can lead to stronger nighttime hunger, cravings, grazing, and overeating. You’ll learn why this pattern is not simply a lack of willpower, how daytime restriction can create the evening struggle you are trying to avoid, and why your hunger at 8 p.m. may have started when you skipped breakfast.
We’ll also talk about the emotional side of nighttime eating and how food can become comfort, reward, or your only chance to relax after a long day.
You’ll walk away with practical ways to build a more satisfying breakfast and lunch, plan an afternoon snack, enjoy a normal dinner, and experiment with eating more consistently during the day without tracking every bite or following another strict diet.

Do you ever feel like you are constantly behind, even though you have been busy all day?
Do you feel like you have good plans to eat right, walk more, strength train, and all that good stuff, but your schedule just won't allow it?
In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when your schedule changes but your expectations do not.
I’m sharing how my own summer schedule left me feeling overwhelmed and anxious because I was trying to complete my school-year workload while spending more time driving kids, managing activities, and handling interruptions. I realized I was measuring my productivity by everything I had not finished instead of recognizing everything I had handled.
You’ll learn why changing schedules can make healthy habits and weight loss feel harder, how feeling behind can lead to skipped meals, missed workouts, poor sleep, random snacking, and nighttime eating, and why this does not mean you are lazy or inconsistent.
You’ll walk away with a simple four-step schedule reset to help you adjust your expectations, choose realistic minimums, and give your habits a new place in your current routine.
Because consistency does not mean doing the exact same thing all year.
It means learning how to keep showing up in a way that fits the life you are actually living.
You are not behind. Your schedule changed, and your plan may need permission to change with it.

Do you feel like the only way to lose weight in perimenopause is to track every bite, count every calorie, and obsess over a number all day?
Have you ever opened MyFitnessPal, plugged in your weight loss goal, and immediately felt like that calorie number became the law?
Maybe you tried to “save” your calories for the evening, skipped meals or ate very little during the day, and then felt starving, frustrated, and stressed trying to make the numbers work at night.
In this episode, we’re talking about how to create a calorie deficit without turning your life into a math equation.
Yes, weight loss does require a calorie deficit, but that does not mean you have to track every bite forever, eat tiny meals, or obsess over hitting the perfect number.
You’ll learn how small, realistic changes can add up over time, especially in perimenopause when your body needs more support, not more punishment. We’ll talk about simple shifts like adding a 10-minute walk, reducing liquid calories, building more balanced meals, limiting random bites and grazing, and choosing habits you can actually see yourself doing long term.
This episode will help you stop thinking of weight loss as “How little can I eat?” and start asking, “What small changes can I make that actually support the body and life I want?”
Because lasting weight loss does not come from the strictest plan you can survive.
It comes from small habits you can actually repeat.

Do you ever come home from vacation and feel like the scale is calling your name before you even unpack your suitcase?
Do you immediately wonder, “How much damage did I do?”
Have you ever let one post vacation weigh-in decide whether you feel proud, guilty, or like you need to start over?
In this episode, we’re talking about getting on the scale after vacation. What to do, what not to do, and why that number does not get to grade your trip.
We’ll talk about why the scale often goes up after travel, how things like sodium, sleep, hydration, digestion, eating out, and routine changes can affect your weight, and why your next step after vacation should not be punishment. It should be returning to your normal habits.
This episode will help you stop turning vacation into a reason to panic, restrict, or start over. Because vacation and taking care of yourself do not have to be two different things.

Do you ever feel like vacation completely throws off your weight loss goals?
Do you find yourself dieting before vacation, eating everything once you get there, and then coming home feeling guilty, bloated, and ready to “start over”?
Have you ever wondered if you can actually enjoy vacation food and still lose weight?
In this episode, we’re talking about vacation, food freedom, and why losing weight and enjoying your trip can go together. I’m sharing how I used to restrict before vacation, overeat during vacation, and then feel disappointed when I got home, and what changed when I learned how to approach food with more freedom and less guilt.
You’ll learn why vacation itself is not the problem, why the restrict-and-restart cycle keeps so many women stuck, and how to use simple anchors like protein, water, movement, and listening to your fullness so you can enjoy food without feeling out of control.
This episode will help you stop treating vacation like a weight loss setback and start seeing it as a chance to practice trust, flexibility, and consistency in real life.
Because food freedom means you can eat the dessert, order the salad, share the fries, enjoy the moment, and come home without punishing yourself.

Do you find yourself thinking, "I'll wear that when I'm smaller" or "I'll feel confident when I reach my goal weight"?
Have you ever wondered who you would be if weight loss wasn't constantly on your mind?
In this episode, we're talking about how weight loss can quietly become more than a goal. It can become an identity. I'm sharing my own experience of chasing smaller numbers on the scale, believing confidence was waiting on the other side of weight loss, and the freedom I found when I finally stopped letting a number determine how I felt about myself.
We'll discuss:
Why weight loss is a goal, not your identity
How tying your confidence and happiness to the scale keeps you stuck
The hidden cost of waiting to enjoy your life until you lose weight
Why the healthiest women don't spend all day thinking about weight loss
How to focus on becoming the person you want to be instead of obsessing over a number
This episode will help you shift your focus from shrinking your body to building a life you actually enjoy living. If you're tired of constantly chasing the next weight-loss goal, struggling with body image, or feeling like confidence is always just out of reach, this conversation is for you.

Do you ever feel like you keep doing the very things that are getting in the way of your weight loss goals even when you KNOW better?
Do you find yourself stress eating at night, scrolling for hours, drinking wine to unwind, or falling into habits you wish you could “just stop”?
Have you ever wondered, “Why do I keep doing this?”
In this episode, we’re talking about the truth behind habits and why your habits are NOT random, even the ones that are keeping you stuck. Many habits around food, emotional eating, nighttime snacking, procrastination, scrolling, and even drinking are often serving a purpose like comfort, stress relief, escape, rest, or coping with overwhelm.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
why habits are often connected to emotional needs
how stress, overwhelm, loneliness, exhaustion, and burnout can drive unhealthy habits
how to identify what purpose your habits are serving
practical steps to replace habits that no longer support your goals

Have you wondered if you should avoid strength training or go easier during your period?
Do you feel frustrated because some weeks workouts feel amazing, and other weeks everything feels heavy and exhausting?
In this episode, we’re talking all about cycle syncing workouts, working out during your period, and whether women really need to follow all the fitness advice surrounding hormones and menstrual cycles.

We’ll also talk about why you do not need to stop working out during your period, how to adjust workouts without falling into all-or-nothing thinking, and why consistency matters more than perfectly timing every workout with your cycle.
This episode will help you stop feeling afraid of your body changing and start learning how to work WITH your body instead of against it.
